The short version
We collect almost nothing. The only personal information this website collects is what you choose to type into our contact or newsletter forms. We use anonymous, aggregated statistics to understand site traffic. We never sell, rent, or share your information with anyone.
What we collect
The only personal information this site collects is what you voluntarily submit through our contact and newsletter forms: your name, email address, and message. We use it solely to respond to you and, if you sign up, to send you Foundation news. If you text our number, we receive your phone number and message so we can respond. We never sell or share your information.
What we don't collect
No accounts and no passwords. No payment information, since this site processes no payments. We also do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13; this site is directed at parents and adult community members. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, contact us and we'll delete it.
Analytics & cookies
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site (pages visited, general region, device type). Analytics data is aggregated and doesn't identify you personally. A consent banner lets you accept or decline analytics cookies; declining doesn't affect your use of the site, and without your consent no analytics cookies are set. You can change your choice any time via "Cookie preferences" in the page footer. Text messages & email
We only text people who text us first. Reply STOP any time and we won't text you again; message and data rates from your carrier may apply. We never share your phone number. Every newsletter email we send includes a working unsubscribe link and our mailing address, and identifies us clearly as the sender. You can also unsubscribe any time by emailing us.
Who handles this data with us
A few trusted services help run the site, and each receives only what it needs to do its job: Google Firebase (site hosting), Google Analytics (traffic statistics, only with your consent), and Google Workspace (where form submissions are stored). We don't allow any of them to use your information for their own purposes beyond providing these services.
How long we keep it
Form submissions are kept only as long as needed to handle your request or run the newsletter, and are reviewed periodically. You can ask us to delete yours at any time.
If something goes wrong
In the unlikely event your information is ever compromised, we will notify you as required by law, including Virginia's data breach notification statute.
Your choices
